About the Role
As Floor Manager, you will support the Conference & Events Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the department,ensuring all meetings, conferences, banquets and events are deliveredseamlessly and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for coordinating event set-up andservice, conducting team briefings, monitoring service standards and ensuringall function rooms and event spaces are prepared flawlessly. Acting as a keypoint of contact for event organisers and guests, you will ensure every eventruns smoothly and exceeds expectations. This hands-on leadership role requires excellentorganisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability toeffectively manage people, processes and priorities in a dynamic operationalenvironment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadand supervise the day-to-day operation of Conference & Events set-upand service.
- Ensureall event spaces are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Reviewfunction sheets, event requirements and room set-ups to ensure successfuldelivery of all events.
- Conductpre-event briefings and communicate operational requirements effectivelyto the team.
- Meetwith event organisers and hosts to confirm requirements and ensureexpectations are exceeded.
- Monitorservice delivery and team performance throughout events, ensuring allprocedures and standards are consistently followed.
- Handleguest queries and complaints professionally and efficiently to achievepositive outcomes.
- Ensureequipment, supplies and resources are properly maintained, safely used andreadily available.
- Workclosely with other hotel departments to deliver a seamless guestexperience.
- Supportrecruitment, training, coaching and development initiatives within theteam.
- Completedepartmental administration, including timesheets, handovers andoperational reporting.
- Promotea positive working environment focused on teamwork, engagement andcontinuous improvement.
- Ensurefull compliance with health, safety, fire and food service procedures.
About You
You'll be an experienced hospitality professional with abackground in Conference & Events, Banqueting or Hotel Operations. You will be a confident leader who enjoys motivatingteams, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences.With excellent organisational and communication skills, you'll be comfortablemanaging multiple priorities whilst maintaining the highest operationalstandards.
You’ll also have:
- Previoussupervisory or management experience within Conference & Events orBanqueting operations.
- Strongleadership and people management skills.
