We are excited to be recruiting a Maintenance / Handy Person to join our team at the International Convention Centre Wales (ICC Wales). This is a hands-on, varied role where you'll help maintain our world-class venue to exceptional standards. You'll carry out a range of tasks including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and decorating work, ensuring a safe, functional and visually impressive environment for our guests and events. Flexibility is key, as you'll also support maintenance requirements during conferences and events.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and decorating across ICC Wales
  • Complete basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work
  • Maintain the appearance and upkeep of the building
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and company policies
  • Respond quickly to issues that may impact guest or staff safety
  • Support conferences and events with maintenance cover as needed
  • Take responsibility for tools, equipment, and stock control
  • Participate in audits, checks, and team briefings
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service

Experience and Skills Required

  • Experience in general maintenance or building work
  • Strong DIY and practical skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
