Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning and delivery within a convention centre, large‐scale venue or hospitality environment.
- Confident, client‐focused approach with strong relationship‐building skills.
- Experience working with event management systems (Ungerboeck highly desirable).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – professional, clear, and persuasive.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple events and priorities.
- Proactive, can‐do mindset with flexibility to thrive in a fast‐paced, live‐event environment.
- High standards in personal presentation and a professional attitude at all times.
- Sharp eye for quality and a proactive approach to ensuring service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end‐to‐end planning, coordination and delivery of conferences and events.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision is brought to life seamlessly.
- Manage events on‐site during build, live operation and breakdown, liaising with internal departments and service partners.
- Ensure all events meet health & safety requirements, operational standards and client expectations.
- Coordinate logistics including floor plans, IT solutions, branding, staffing and equipment.
- Manage and control event budgets, additional costs and final invoices in collaboration with Finance.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and maximise event revenue during the planning process.
- Lead, motivate and support your team, fostering a positive, customer‐focused culture.
- Produce post‐event reports, identifying improvements and sharing best‐practice.
- Continuously innovate and improve procedures to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
