What You’ll Be Doing As our Health & Safety Manager, you’ll lead the operational delivery of health, safety and fire safety standards across all sites. Your work will keep our people safe, protect our guests, support our managers, and ensure our compliance remains robust, reliable and forward‑thinking.
- Governance, Systems & Assurance
- Run and continuously improve our H&S management system
- Monitor audits, actions and compliance through our dedicated software
- Ensure documentation, records and due diligence are accurate and up‑to‑date
- Present clear, credible assurance to stakeholders
- Operational & Fire Safety Management
- Conduct inspections, checks and reviews across multiple properties
- Ensure timely completion of remedial actions
- Maintain safe systems of work across plant, equipment, fire safety, water hygiene and more
- Incident & Case Management
- Investigate significant incidents, near misses and complaints
- Produce root cause analysis and targeted improvement plans
- Support reporting requirements and regulatory notifications
- Culture, Training & Engagement
- Promote a positive, proactive safety culture
- Support the design and delivery of safety training
- Lead drills, exercises and scenario‑based learning
- Contractor & Supplier Control
- Review RAMS, manage permits to work and ensure safe site operations
- Event & Emergency Preparedness
- Help plan and oversee safety for major events at ICC Wales and across The Collection
- Maintain clear, current and effective emergency procedures

What We’re Looking For
- Essential
- A Level 3 qualification in Health & Safety (and willingness to progress to Level 5 if not already held)
- Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation, fire safety and related compliance areas
- Experience conducting audits, investigations and safety inspections
- Excellent communication, reporting and organisational skills
- A calm, pragmatic approach without standing attention to detail
- Desirable
- Experience in hospitality or multi‑site environments
- Ability to train, coach and influence at all levels
- Membership of a recognised professional body
- Food Safety knowledge (L3)

Where You’ll Be Based
This is a multi‑site role across The Celtic Collection and ICC Wales. You will spend a minimum of two days per week onsite at ICC Wales, with flexibility to visit other properties as needed. Some evening and weekend work is required to support events, drills and emergency readiness.
