The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member: Ref 26-137-YO-YM-WEB Job Role Youth Officer - Youth Matters Service Location Belfast and Lisburn Area.

BT10 0GW Salary Starting on £30,426 per annum (pro rata) Hours 30 Hours Per Week- Mon - Thurs 9-5 (evenings & weekend work required) Contract Temporary (Maternity Cover 9 Months initially) The Service Youth Matters is a dynamic youth work service providing opportunities for children and young people with disabilities and autism the opportunity to engage in personal and social activities.

The Role The Youth officer will be responsible for promoting the inclusion of children and young people with disabilities, autism and brain injury in a broad range of mainstream activities by developing their social and emotional skills to enable them to participate in their local community.

The Youth Officer will also facilitate disability and inclusion training to local stakeholder and promote inclusion throughout the sector.

This job involves regular evening and weekend work.

Essential Criteria 1.

RQF level 6 (e. g. bachelor's degree) or equivalent level in Youth & Community, Play work, Health & Social Care, Education or another relevant discipline.

AND Minimum of 1 years paid experience of planning and delivering group based personal and social development programmes for children and young people.

OR Minimum RQF 4 or equivalent in Youth & Community, Health & Social Care, Education or another relevant discipline AND Minimum of 3 yrs paid experience of planning and delivering group based personal and social development programmes for children and young people. 2.

Proficiency in IT skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. 3.

Ability to work independently with good organisational, communication & interpersonal skills.
