An established and well-respected design, manufacturing and distribution business is looking to recruit an Account Manager to join its established and growing commercial team. This role is ideal for an early-career commercial professional who has gained initial experience in a client-facing or sales environment and is now looking to build broader account management capability, commercial confidence, and long-term progression within an FMCG business.

You will join a team of six and report directly to a Senior Account Manager, working closely with experienced colleagues who will support your development. The role offers hands-on exposure to the full end-to-end account management supply chain process, from customer brief through to product delivery into major UK retailers, with responsibility and scope increasing as your skills develop.

The Role

  • Manage a defined portfolio of retail and FMCG customers, with guidance and support from the Senior Account Manager
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, building confidence in client-facing interactions
  • Support the delivery of sales and margin performance across your accounts
  • Build an understanding of customer objectives, product ranges, and commercial targets
  • Prepare for and attend customer meetings, ensuring clear follow-up actions
  • Travel across the UK to visit national supermarkets and retail chains alongside senior team members
  • Coordinate orders, supply chain activity, critical paths, and delivery timelines to meet customer deadlines
  • Work closely with Product Development, Buying, Supply Chain, and Licensing teams
  • Manage day-to-day administration accurately in a fast-paced, hands-on commercial environment

  • Experience in a sales, account management, or client-facing commercial role
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good commercial awareness, with confidence working with numbers and margins
  • Solid IT skills and attention to detail
