Main Function

Under the supervision of the Divisional Manager, the Plant Manager will be responsible for directing and coordinating all activities related to the production, staffing, sanitation, and maintenance of the company’s production and all directly related operations. The Plant Manager will be required to manage a harmonious work environment. He/She is also responsible for developing strategies and methods to increase efficiency and create a better product so that all targets and KPI’s are met.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide management oversight of the various critical processes, management of the maintenance, stores, and sanitation operations at the plant.
  • Improve the engagement of staff.
  • Develop and implement procedures for the operations of the plant, in accordance with the guiding principles of the Company and the QMS system.
  • Continued planning for improvements of procedures and operations with the aim of improvement in quality, efficiency, productivity, safety, security, and general progress of the company and its employees.
  • Review distribution’s requests to ensure production and inventories are kept to meet all current and potential demands.
  • Serve as liaison between the company and its customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure that the CB Group policies, objectives, mission, and vision are communicated to staff.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of staff.
  • Ensure the safety of staff and assets and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Report as required to the Divisional Manager on all operations.

Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • 1st Degree in Engineering, Process Technology, or Production Management.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a production environment.
  • Knowledge of the application and implementation of quality systems and safety procedures.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and the ability to understand financial reports and statements.
  • Competent in the use of spreadsheets and word processing applications.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make on-the-spot decisions in various situations.
  • Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with staff at all levels.
