We are looking to appoint a Guidance Leader in the Secondary Phase of our All-through school. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, committed professional who has a positive attitude to ensure the effectiveness and impact of the Pastoral Team. Main duties include;
- attached as a guidance leader for a year group to support the Head of Year
- assisting the designated safeguarding lead (secondary phase)
- providing excellent team leader skills to manage a team
- demonstrating excellent communication and negotiation skills required for working with pupils, staff, parents and external agencies.
- have the ability to engage and understand of the needs of young people within the schoolinspire, challenge and motivate our pupils
- positive and passionate about ensuring our pupils receive outstanding pastoral care and have a mind-set of believing anything is possible
- believe in creating strong, positive relationships with our pupils, developing them personally, socially, emotionally and academically.
- have a commitment to personal and professional development
- be a team player who is supportive of colleagues
This role is an incredibly important one; the success of the school's pupils is undoubtedly underpinned by the effectiveness and impact of the pastoral team.
