This role is a brilliant opportunity for a highly organised individual with knowledge and experience of health and safety regulations within the construction industry and a strong grasp of Asset Management to join the South West’s largest independent house builder. About the role
As our Facilities & Assets Supervisor, you will manage the effective operation of our facilities and assets, ensuring health & safety policies and requirements are always met.
You’ll ensure compliance with health & safety and legal requirements across the Head Office, the building and plant yard and our commercial fleet, supervising all facility and fleet services to maintain the highest standards.
Effectively sourcing all required assets, you’ll aim to secure the most cost-effective solutions and oversee the movement of owned assets, ensuring statutory inspections are kept up to date and that assets are being maintained as per manufacturers’ recommendations.
Additionally, you will:
- Provide effective leadership to the Plant Engineer / Fitter Service Operations
- Co-ordinate contractors and service contracts
- Ensure repairs are timely and undertaken effectively
- Manage service and utility contracts
- Ensure all vehicles are safe and insured and any repairs & maintenance is up to date
- Produce and control annual budgets
- Support Project Teams
About you
To be considered as our Facilities & Assets Supervisor, you will need:
- Experience in a similar role
- A strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
- Knowledge and experience in using Asset Management and Microsoft Office software
- Experience in managing a small team
- Knowledge of current and future Building Safety requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail in cost reporting, ensuring accuracy and precision in financial data analysis
- The ability to negotiate contracts, liaise with suppliers and resolve conflicts diplomatically
- The ability to write reports using appropriate business language
- Strong leadership skills
- GCSE level qualifications in English and Maths
- A full, valid driving licence
