We are looking for a Senior Chef who has worked as either a Senior Dim Sum Head Chef, Group Dim Sum Chef Executive, or similar, to join our client as Head of Dim Sum. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality, production, and creation of high-end contemporary Dim Sum for multiple fine dining restaurants in London

Our client is world-renowned for their Chinese cuisine, and this position is a new addition to their management team, to ensure that the quality, creativity, and production of their Dim Sums are second to none.

Our client operates at the highest level of cuisine and will require an Executive Head Dim Sum Chef/Head of Dim Sum who is creative, has a great eye for detail, and can maintain their standards in a restaurant group that operates at near Michelin level.

You will be overseeing a team of 40 chefs in the main kitchen, which is located in East London. Here, the highly skilled Dim Sum chefs hand-make the dim sums daily for distribution to their central London restaurants. You will be required to visit each site from time to time to ensure that the quality of your creations is being maintained by the Head Dim Sum Chefs located at each restaurant.

This company is always expanding, and the role will not be limited to their existing restaurants; the right candidate can and will be involved in other projects in the UK and internationally.

Your background should include:

  • Extensive experience making Dim Sum.
  • At least 5 years of working at a management level.
  • Experience in high-end restaurants – think Michelin star or similar, or large-scale luxury hotels with a strong F&B presence.
  • Experience managing large teams – at least 30 chefs.
  • Production experience is an advantage.
  • A good level of English (4.0 IELTS minimum).
