The Catch Up Academy is delighted to be working in partnership with a supportive secondary school to recruit an enthusiastic and creative Qualified Teacher to work with three Year 9 students who are currently unable to access mainstream lessons.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys thinking differently, building positive relationships and helping young people rediscover their confidence in learning.

The Role * Location: Community-based provision in the SO41 area * Start

Date: September 2026 * Students: Three Year 9 learners on a 1:1 basis * Subjects: Broad curriculum delivered through engaging, practical learning experiences About the Students The students have found it difficult to engage within a traditional classroom environment and require a fresh, personalised approach to learning.

They are capable young people who respond best to adults who are calm, patient and able to build trusting relationships.

Success in this role is not about standing at the front of a classroom delivering lessons.

Instead, you ll inspire learning through practical activities, real-life experiences and creative curriculum delivery that develops confidence, curiosity and resilience.

Every day will be different, offering the opportunity to adapt learning around students interests while helping them achieve meaningful academic and personal progress.
