We are seeking an experienced SEN Primary Tutor to provide 1:1 at-home tuition for a Year 2 male student as part of alternative provision.
Student Overview
- Year 2 pupil, working at approximately Year 1 level
- Diagnosed with ASD and developmental delay (currently being assessed for ADHD)
- Preverbal, with limited expressive language
- Learning delivered through play-based, engagement-focused approaches
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1, play-based learning sessions in the home
- Support early Literacy and Maths through interactive activities
- Adapt sessions to meet individual needs
- Create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Promote engagement, communication, and positive learning behaviours
Requirements
- Experience working with primary-aged pupils with ASD
- Experience delivering learning through play
- Clear spoken English
- Patient, flexible, and engaging approach
- Comfortable delivering tuition in a home setting
