Overview

SEN Primary Tutor

Location: GU20 (At-home tuition)

Hours: 15 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm)

Pay: £22-£28 per hour (dependent on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking an experienced SEN Primary Tutor to provide 1:1 at-home tuition for a Year 2 male student as part of alternative provision.

Student Overview:

  • Year 2 pupil, working at approximately Year 1 level
  • Diagnosed with ASD and developmental delay (currently being assessed for ADHD)
  • Preverbal, with limited expressive language
  • Learning delivered through play-based, engagement-focused approaches

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1, play-based learning sessions in the home
  • Support early Literacy and Maths through interactive activities
  • Adapt sessions to meet individual needs
  • Create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Promote engagement, communication, and positive learning behaviours

Requirements:

  • Experience working with primary-aged pupils with ASD
  • Experience delivering learning through play
  • Clear spoken English
  • Patient, flexible, and engaging approach
  • Comfortable delivering tuition in a home setting
