Due to growth in numbers and an expansion to our team, we wish to appoint a class teacher to start September 2026. The Castle School, Newbury caters for 190 students from reception through to year 14. We educate children with a variety of complex learning needs offering a range of provision for different ages, stages and needs.
We are looking for a motivated teacher who is an enthusiastic and creative practitioner that is committed to the vision and ethos of this innovative, successful and growing special school. We are keen to hear from teachers from either mainstream who are looking for a move into the field of special education, as well as those who currently work in special schools. We would also welcome applications from ECTs.
Qualifications
- Have a commitment and passion to work with pupils with a wide and diverse range of SEND including PMLD, SLD, MLD, ASD, ADHD and speech and language impairments
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, forming positive relationships with students, staff, parents and governors
- Can lead, motivate and inspire teams to raise standards in student outcomes
- Want to be members of a creative and dynamic staff team with high expectations of our learners to achieve in life.
