Have you got the energy, vision and passion for SEN and a good sense of fun to join our team? The Castle School @Newbury meets the individual needs of 190 students between 4 and 19 years, all of whom have special needs. We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, creative and hardworking people to our Support Assistants team.

You will be working with students across the school age range who have special educational needs. Working closely with the class teacher, you will support the needs of pupils as individuals or in small groups. You will be required to help implement education plans and provide assistance with programmes devised by other therapists. You will be required to assist with pupils' personal needs. You will work across the whole school and in a variety of classrooms so will need to be flexible and adaptable.

You will need to have excellent people skills and a warm and caring personality. The ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and other staff is important.

Qualifications
  • Minimum qualification of GCSE or equivalent
  • No previous experience required; training will be provided
