At Casey, we don’t just build projects – we create places that help people live, work and thrive. Our work goes beyond the built environment, from supporting local communities to creating opportunities through skills and employment. People always come first, and that includes our team. If you want to be part of a business where your work has real impact – and where you’re trusted, supported and valued – you’ll feel at home here.
The Field Service Engineer Opportunity
This is not your typical workshop role. As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be out on site, working hands-on with some of the most powerful and complex machinery in the industry. From diagnosing faults in the field to carrying out on-the-spot repairs, no two days are the same. One day you could be servicing excavators, the next responding to a breakdown on-site or getting critical equipment back up and running under pressure. You’ll play a key role in keeping our operations moving – solving problems, thinking on your feet and seeing the impact of your work in real time.
What the Field Service Engineer will be doing:
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs across a wide range of heavy plant equipment
- Working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to keep machinery performing at its best
- Responding to breakdowns on-site and carrying out planned maintenance and inspections
- Travelling between sites with a fully equipped company vehicle
- Collaborating with the wider team to keep projects running smoothly and minimise downtime
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and parts used
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience working with heavy plant machinery (e.g. excavators, dumpers, crushers, screeners)
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Confident fault-finding skills with a practical, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work both independently in the field and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Welding or fabrication skills (desirable, not essential)
Most importantly, you’ll take pride in your work, enjoy the variety that comes with being out on site, and want to be part of a team that looks out for one another.
What we offer you:
- £19ph - £22ph (£44k per annum based on 45 hrs – overtime paid at 1.5 times giving an OTE of £60k+), Company Van and Benefits
- Door to Door expenses covered
- Company vehicle (you will need to provide your own tools however we will provide everything specialist)
- Pension scheme
- Employee Life Cover and Employee Accident Cover
- 31 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays - 7 to be taken for Christmas shutdown.
- Wellbeing support, including Employee Assistance Programme and company wellbeing days
- Access to discounts on shopping, travel and more
- A supportive, down-to-earth working environment where people matter
