As a Commis Chef at Skibo, you will play an important role in supporting the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences for members and guests. Working alongside experienced chefs, you will assist with food preparation, maintaining high standards of food hygiene and presentation and contribute to a professional, efficient, and positive kitchen environment.

About the Role

  • Prepare ingredients and assist with the preparing of dishes between the Castle and Clubhouse.
  • Ensure food is prepared to a high standard and quality for all members and guests.
  • In line with Food safety standards maintain excellent food hygiene, organisation and clean as you go procedures.
  • Work with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
  • Assist with storing food and ingredients and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

About You

Skills & Experience

  • SVQ Level 2 professional cookery.
  • Ability to adapt to varying shifts.
  • Ability to work long hours.
  • Good knife skills and experience working with fresh, seasonal produce.
  • Awareness of safe working practices, for food hygiene.
