About the Property & Maintenance Team
The Property & Maintenance team at Skibo plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running and presentation of the estate. From the historic fabric of the Castle to the modern facilities across the Club, the team is responsible for maintaining a wide range of buildings and amenities to the highest standards. Working across our 8,000-acre estate, the team supports the upkeep of everything from guest-facing spaces to behind-the-scenes infrastructure, ensuring a safe, well-maintained and seamless environment for members, guests and colleagues alike.

About the Role
As a Maintenance Operative, you will support the day‑to‑day upkeep of the estate, carrying out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across buildings and facilities
- Responding to maintenance issues and completing fault finding as required
- Working closely with the Property Coordinator to prioritise and schedule work
- Supporting a range of departments to minimise disruption to members and guests
- Delivering practical, high‑quality solutions in line with estate standards
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and external contractors
- Providing support to apprentices or junior team members when required
This role operates on a shift pattern, including late shifts and one weekend in four, with on‑call responsibilities for urgent issues when required.
About You
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a general maintenance, trade or construction environment
- Broad practical skills across a range of maintenance tasks
- Good understanding of health & safety practices (First Aid desirable)
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting
- Full, clean UK driving licence

- Reliable, organised and takes pride in high standards of work
- Able to work independently and use initiative to solve problems
- Flexible and adaptable with a proactive, can‑do attitude
- Strong communication skills when working with colleagues and contractors
