Our client, a leading beer, cider and pub company is recruiting an Engineering Manager. As a member of the Site Leadership Team, you will lead the whole Engineering function in achieving the business objectives, targets, and long-term vision. Specifically, you will ensure the reliability of assets through the application of the most cost-effective maintenance strategies.
Lead the safety agenda within the Engineering function and ensure compliance with all legal regulations for the site assets through a fit for purpose organisation structure.
Key Accountabilities:
- Participate in the design and delivery of the Global Supply Chain maintenance initiatives such as Maintenance Excellence within WCBO (World Class Brewing Operation) through collaboration with peer group and engineering managers.
- Management and development of the Engineering Management Team to ensure full capability to deliver the business objectives.
- Continuously review and update the engineering improvement strategy to ensure the correct priorities for allocating resource to deliver the site objectives.
- Ensure the appropriate resource to maintain compliance with OpCo Safety Policy and Regulatory Legislation and internal standards.
- Collaborate with Site Leadership Team to agree site objectives for reliability and to achieve these through the most effective application of preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Lead the Plant Maintenance Pillar to ensure collaboration and engagement between the operational and engineering teams to deliver reliability of the assets.
- Support the continuous development of the Operator Maintainer programme through the Maintenance Managers.
- Create an environment that delivers high performance through effective performance management and development planning of people.
Qualifications:
- Degree level Engineering or equivalent experience at HND level essential
- General Certificate of Brewing desired
- Chartered or Incorporated engineer or equivalent if registered under non-UK schemes desired
- Formal training and competence as defined by L8, IOSH/NEBOSH desired
Experience Required:
- Leadership of a senior team
- Leading change initiatives
- Technical experience in compliance, capex and maintenance management
- Experience in an FMCG food and drink environment (beneficial)
- Successfully managed maintenance with a multi-disciplined team.
- Good working knowledge of CMMS and maintenance scheduling
