Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of care plans and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. This role requires someone who is proactive, reliable, and possesses a valid driving licence to
travel between clients houses. Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients\' health or behaviour to the relevant parties.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients\' quality of life.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and care plans is advantageous.
- A valid driving licence is required for transportation duties.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
