ABOUT THE ROLE
The Carers’ Centre is seeking an experienced people and operations professional to improve how its teams work and support managers to lead effectively. This is a permanent, 22.5-hour role, combining homeworking with time at the Bath office. Actual annual pay is £19,276.92 (£31,699.83 FTE).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop people policies, procedures and practical guidance, helping managers apply them consistently.
- Contribute to the people strategy and support performance management throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Advise staff and managers on HR issues, learning needs and wellbeing.
- Manage administration and volunteer officers, setting priorities and supporting development.
- Work with the Deputy CEO on employment, equality and health-and-safety compliance; support data-protection practice.
- Improve operational processes, create procedures and templates, and help colleagues implement change.
- Coach managers and deliver guidance or training where needed.
- Oversee administration, HR records and DBS processing; report HR indicators and support quality assurance.
- Work within budgets and contribute relevant information to funding applications.
ABOUT YOU
You will bring HR knowledge, operational judgement and the ability to turn requirements into clear, usable processes. You should be organised, proactive and confident building relationships with managers, colleagues and external partners. CIPD Level 5, or progress towards it, is required.
