Role Summary

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of our marketing and audience engagement activity ensuring workflows run smoothly, stakeholders are supported effectively, and marketing outputs meet agreed standards. You’ll report directly to the Marketing & Audience Engagement Lead, with close interaction with our Strategic Communications, and as part of a high functioning Strategy & Communications division. • Lead the end-to-end delivery of agreed marketing and audience engagement campaigns across CEC’s priority audiences.
    • Translate strategic briefs into clear delivery plans, timelines and outputs.
    • Coordinate content creation, approvals and publishing across channels and campaign assets - working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, Design team and Senior Marketing Officer.
    • Ensure all outputs are audience appropriate, on brand and quality assured prior to release.
    • Manage campaign evaluation, reporting and insight capture, sharing learning with wider teams and senior leadership where relevant.
    • Contribute to a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture.
  • Marketing operations
    • Own the operational marketing plan, audience engagement calendar and workflow management.

    • Support consistent use of tools, systems and processes to improve efficiency and visibility of work (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Umbraco/Drupal, HotJar, GA4).
  • Stakeholder and cross-team working
    • Work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to understand needs and ensure marketing activity supports team and organisational priorities.
    • Work with the Marketing & Audience Engagement Lead across the company to ensure the audience/customer lens (e.g. educators, employers, Careers Hubs) is represented and contributes to future strategic planning effectively.
    • Represent marketing in project groups and working meetings where delivery input is required.
    • Ensure clear and frequent communication and expectation setting with stakeholders throughout delivery.
    • Support overall External Affairs outputs where necessary.
