About the Programme

Career Tree, in partnership with LSST, delivers a 10-week UX/UI Design Bootcamp designed to prepare learners for creative and digital roles. The course provides hands-on training in User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design, using industry tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Miro. Learners gain real-world experience through live briefs, portfolio projects, and a guaranteed job interview upon completion.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and engaging UX/UI Design Tutor to deliver high-quality, practical training. You’ll guide learners through the end-to-end design process — from research and wireframing to prototyping and usability testing — while supporting them in building professional portfolios and preparing for employment. This is a hybrid teaching role combining online delivery and in-person workshops at our London campuses. You’ll also work with employers, mentors, and guest speakers to ensure learners gain relevant, industry-aligned experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching sessions in UX/UI design (online and in-person).
  • Guide learners through practical projects using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Miro.
  • Support learners in developing user-centred design skills — from research and wireframing to prototyping and testing.
  • Mentor participants on portfolio development, design case studies, and interview preparation.
  • Embed employability skills and promote progression into junior UX/UI roles, creative apprenticeships, or further study.
  • Collaborate with employer partners and guest speakers to deliver live briefs, real-world challenges, and portfolio reviews.
  • Monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records in line with funding and quality requirements.
  • Champion inclusivity and accessibility, supporting learners from a wide range of backgrounds to achieve their goals.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Professional experience in UX/UI or Product Design.
  • Strong knowledge of user-centred design and accessibility principles.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, and similar design tools.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
  • Experience in training, coaching, or supporting adult learners (preferred but not essential).

What You’ll Offer Learners

  • Understand and apply UX/UI design processes.
  • Create accessible, engaging digital prototypes.
  • Build a professional portfolio aligned with industry standards.
  • Gain interview experience and direct access to employer opportunities.
