We are seeking a qualified leader to help keep our company running effectively whilst managing a group of consultants in the company’s new phase, through the use of their own skill and leadership.

You will be supporting the sales, marketing, and the IAG team by ensuring that the team is compliant with the policies and procedures of the organisation and offering consistency in service delivery.

You will also be responsible for leading, training and guiding each team member under your supervision.

Our ideal leader has in-depth knowledge of and experience with the sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and closing. We’re seeking a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and someone with a track record of success who can inspire the same in others.

More importantly, we are looking for someone who has a strong background in either sales, customer service or information, advice and guidance with a real passion for helping people through understanding.

Although it will not be a sales role, the company progress reports are based on deliverables and target quotas so it may well seem like a sales role.

The role demands a leader with a sharp mind and the ability to coach, advise, motivate and guide to create and maintain a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set sales goals for your team, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed.
  • Calling new prospects after sourcing their CVs.
  • Assessing prospective applicants and matching them with opportunities.
  • Screening and short-listing candidates before clients meet them.
  • Making sure your team are focusing on quality service.
  • Making sure your team provide accurate information, advice and guidance.
  • Meet overall targets set by stakeholders and management.
  • Motivate and guide advisors with your track record and regular morning huddles.
  • Provide detailed and accurate forecasts for people within your team.
  • Ensure that your team hit their target/quota.
  • Help each team member to become better through regular training.
  • Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment.
  • Assess individual performance through observation and measurement, and suggest corrective actions as needed.

Desired Criteria

  • Confident working with Google sheets and Gmail.
  • Desired experience within Information, Advice and Guidance - IAG (not mandatory).
  • Experience of working in higher education industry.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, including working to strict timelines.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proven track record of leading a team.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, customer service, advice and guidance (all or in at least one).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Deep understanding of CRM systems and best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
