Job Purpose
The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the operations team, ensuring exceptional customer service to support both retention and growth. The crucial link between Sales & Operations, the role is key in maximising profits whilst managing key supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial & Financial
- Collaborate with the commercial team to deliver branch revenue and gross profit targets
- Support the development and execution of branch growth strategy
- Increase profitability across all service modes
- Review pricing, margins, and customer profitability
- Operations
- Oversee daily branch operations
- Ensure service delivery meets customer expectations and KPIs
- Improve operational efficiency and productivity
- Ensure SOP and compliance adherence
- Financial processes, including month-end preparation, DMR/CIMS workflows
- Shipping line contract space management
- Leadership & People
- Lead and develop branch personnel
- Conduct regular performance reviews
