Temporary ongoing - could become permanent for the right candidate. Monday to Friday - 1 month of 6.30am to 2.30pm / 1 month of 11am to 7pm. Rugby based. £26,403 - £28,142pa (£13.72 - £14.62 per hour).

Our client, a school based in Rugby, is looking for an initially temporary member of staff to join their site support team. This role will include site security, maintenance, general support and health & safety. Please note, you must be willing to work both shifts as these are monthly rotational. You must have a full UK driving licence of at least 2 years and must be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check.

The key responsibilities:

  • Planned and reactive maintenance for buildings, classrooms and wider facilities
  • Perform routine safety inspections and compliance checks
  • Building upkeep
  • Site safety
  • Site security
  • Supporting and supervising the cleaning team
  • Occasional driving of school minibus

The necessary skills and qualities:

  • A can-do attitude
  • Ability to work alone and in a team
  • Basic skills in plumbing and carpentry would be very advantageous, but you must have general maintenance skills
  • An understanding of health and safety regulations
  • A great attention to detail and strong organisation skills
  • Willing to complete a full enhanced DBS check
  • Full UK driving licence of at least 2 years
