Our client, a large distributor, is looking for a Transport Clerk / Administrator who will work a 4 on 4 off shift, 7pm to 7am. This role will be temporary to permanent. You will have solid IT and administration skills and be a reliable helping hand.
The key responsibilities for a Transport Clerk:
- Ensuring the systems are up to date with despatching and loading processes
- Efficiently despatch deliveries with relevant paperwork
- Use customer systems to update delivery information
- Monitor the return of equipment
- Directing drivers to the correct locations on arrival to site
- Liaising with drivers on the gate communication system to make them aware of site procedures
The key skills and experience needed for a Transport Clerk:
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Able to effectively use IT, including Microsoft Office - Excel and spreadsheet knowledge a must
- Methodical and can follow instruction and procedure
- Reliable
