Our client, a successful firm in the engineering industry, is looking for a Marketing Communications Assistant to join their small, busy team at their offices in Rugby; this role combines creative, digital, practical and administrative marketing responsibilties. The successful candidate will ideally have 1-2 years professional marketing experience.
The key responsibilities of the Marketing Communications Assistant:
Drafting simple, engaging content for social media
Creating and editing images and videos for social media, case studies, exhibition announcements etc using Canva, Powerpoint, Adobe
Maintaining the company's communications calendar, scheduling planned events, social media postings and other relevant activity
Updating various platforms to manage the release of social media posts
Managing the company's corporate gifts requirements - this will include packing and shipping
Supporting the management of contractors and suppliers for photography, print, design, web and PR services
Updating the company intranet and websites
A positive, can-do attitude, with the ability to juggle a number of tasks while remaining calm under pressure
The skills and qualities needed for a Marketing Communications Assistant:
1-2 years experience in marketing in a professional business environment - essential
Comfortable using digital tools, including social media platforms, email tools and Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe
Knowledge of social media platforms
Experience working as a team
Great attention to detail
Physical ability to move/pack boxes for delivery
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and engaging content
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan ahead and prioritise workload
