Our client, a well-established commercial insurance provider based in Lutterworth, is seeking a Commercial Insurance Account Executive to join their New Business team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to generate new business income and manage prospects, with full training provided for those with transferable insurance experience.
The key responsibilities of a Commercial Insurance Account Executive (New Business):
- Generate new business through outbound calls and proactive prospecting.
- Manage and maximise opportunities from the company database.
- Conduct fact-finding to identify client requirements and provide suitable quotations.
- Obtain and present quotations, advising on the most appropriate cover and pricing.
- Liaise with clients, insurers and underwriters via phone and email.
- Maintain accurate client records, including risk awareness and objectives.
- Issue documentation and confirm cover in line with company procedures.
- Work towards achieving new business income targets and KPIs.
The minimum requirements for the Commercial Insurance Account Executive (New Business) role:
- Previous experience within insurance (commercial preferred, but other lines considered).
- Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with clients.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of insurance principles and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency using CRM systems and internal processes.
- Advanced knowledge of Material Damage (including Business Interruption), Employers Liability and Public/Products Liability.
The ideal candidate for the Commercial Insurance Account Executive (New Business) role:
- Experience in a new business or sales-focused insurance role.
- Knowledge across additional commercial lines such as Professional Indemnity, D O, Cyber or Contract Works.
- Confident in generating leads and converting opportunities.
- Proactive, motivated and commercially minded.
