Our client, an established commercial insurance company based in Lutterworth is look for a proactive, resilient sales person to take on the role of a New Business Account Executive.
This is a pure new business sales role for an experienced commercial insurance professional who thrives on outbound prospecting, making calls, opening doors and converting opportunities into revenue.
You must have at least 2 years experience working within commercial insurance and be genuinely driven by sales. This is not a role for someone looking to service an existing book of clients your focus will be
100% on winning new business .
The Role
Generate new commercial insurance opportunities through high-volume outbound calling and proactive prospecting.
Contact identified leads and prospects to secure quotation opportunities.
Build relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
Conduct detailed fact-finds and work with the in-house underwriting team to develop appropriate terms.
Present quotations, explain cover, handle objections and negotiate to secure the sale.
Proactively follow up opportunities and maintain momentum through to conversion.
Identify cross-selling opportunities where appropriate.
Consistently achieve activity, conversion and income targets.
Accurately record all sales activity and interactions within Acturis.
Handover converted business to the relevant administration team for ongoing servicing.
What Were Looking For
Minimum 2 years commercial insurance experience.
A proven track record in sales and new business development .
A high-energy, target-driven and commercially hungry approach.
Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls every day.
Resilient, persistent and motivated by rejection rather than discouraged by it.
Confident handling objections, negotiating and asking for the sale.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisation, follow-up and pipeline management.
