Temp to perm Location: Crick

Salary: Up to £29,079 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (Days Only) | 06:00 18:00

Our client are looking for a proactive and hands-on Operations Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations on site. In this role, you will support the Operational Management team in maintaining and managing depot assets, resources, and facilities ensuring peak cost efficiency and smooth daily performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Actively demonstrate leadership qualities on shift
  • Fleet & Asset Management: Administer the vehicle and trailer maintenance program, maintain internal databases, and follow up on defects with the Fleet Department.
  • Daily Compliance: Complete all daily depot checks and record them on the central system.
  • Driver Engagement: Maintain direct contact with drivers regarding daily performance and collaborative improvement actions.
  • Admin & Reporting: Support the Operations Manager with depot payroll planning, maintain up-to-date personnel files, and provide key data to the Senior Operations Supervisor and Transport Manager.

What We Are Looking For:

  • To be successful in this role, you will need to be a self-motivated problem solver who can work on your own initiative.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience working within transport operations or a similar transport-related role.
  • Industry Knowledge: A strong working knowledge of EU Hours, Working Time Directives, and Tachograph legislation.
  • Leadership Style: An energetic, motivating leadership style with excellent communication skills.
  • Tech Savvy: PC literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Drive: A strong willingness to resolve issues efficiently and keep the site running smoothly.
  • Desirable: A CPC National Qualification is highly preferred but not essential.
