Our client, a global construction business based in Binley, are looking for an experienced CapEx Negotiator to join their team.
The key responsibilities of a CapEx Negotiator:
- Negotiations: Deliver measurable cost savings through negotiations to agreed targets based on value or % of spend to improve business profitability.
- Contracts: Negotiate commercially advantageous terms and conditions, balancing quality, cost, and risk.
- Vendor Management: Develop, implement, and operate vendor management strategies. Ensure suppliers comply with standards and established criteria.
- Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage sourcing strategies to deliver measurable cost savings.
- Team and Operation Support: Provide commercial support to internal stakeholders and team members to ensure best commercial outcomes within governance frameworks. Support implementation of strategic sourcing methodology aligned with operational needs.
- Health and Safety: Ensure relevant health and safety policies are implemented and maintained across all procurement interactions to provide a safe and healthy working environment.
The skills & qualities needed for the CapEx Negotiator:
- High level understanding and awareness of operational businesses, markets, suppliers and trading area(s).
- A commercial thinker with high level commercial acumen.
- Operational experience to fully understand what our business objectives are within our markets and how they are achieved and operate.
- Negotiation experience with proven track record of delivering consistent annual savings.
- Dominates in Negotiation, Contract Negotiation, Negotiation Strategy, Strategic Sourcing Methodology, Project Management, Finance for Project Evaluation and is Analytical.
- Technical Knowledge: Supply Chain, Supply Market Trends, Knowledge of Product Quality Requirements, Operational Production Process, Products Materials and their application.
