We are recruiting a school cleaner to join our professional site team. We are looking for a reliable and conscientious colleague, who will take pride in the appearance of the school and provide a clean and tidy environment for our students, staff and lettings.
Experience in school cleaning is useful but not essential and using cleaning machines and cleaning products would be an advantage, although training will be provided for the successful applicant. Common sense and the ability to be self‑motivated is essential. You will need to work as part of a team under the direction of the Cleaning Manager.
Working hours are 06:00 - 09:00 and 15:05 - 18:30, Monday to Friday, total 31.25 hours per week. Working as part of our dedicated team, duties will include vacuuming, polishing, emptying bins, toilet cleaning etc. You must be able to use your own initiative and be motivated to work in an educational setting with children. Experience is desirable but full training will be given.
Specific Duties: In addition to providing the highest standards of teaching and learning, the priority of the Academy is the safety and welfare of its students. Therefore all staff undergo an enhanced DBS investigation and full references will be taken. Subject to satisfactory appraisal, you may be eligible to progress within your pay band following set increments.
