Overview

A growing UK-based organisation is looking to hire an experienced Power BI Specialist on a 6-month fixed term contract to support the development, optimisation, and delivery of business-critical reporting and dashboards. This role will play a key part in transforming data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders across the business.

The successful candidate will work closely with non-technical and technical teams to understand reporting requirements, build scalable data models, and deliver clear, impactful visualisations using Power BI.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for a range of business functions
Translate business requirements into effective data visualisations and reporting solutions
Build and optimise data models, measures, and calculations using DAX
Connect Power BI to multiple data sources including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and third-party tools
Ensure reports are accurate, scalable, and performant
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide insight-led recommendations
Support data governance, documentation, and best practices
Deliver both project-based reporting and ad-hoc analysis as required

Qualifications

Strong commercial experience with Power BI (Desktop & Service)
Advanced knowledge of DAX and data modelling
Experience working with SQL-based data sources
Proven ability to build end-to-end BI solutions from raw data to dashboard delivery
Experience Managing a team
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to explain data and insights to non-technical audiences
