The Junior Security Engineer Operations position is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their security career who wants hands on experience within a mature and supportive environment.
What You Will Be Doing…- Supporting day to day security operations including monitoring alerts, investigating incidents and maintaining security evidence.
- Assisting with the implementation and upkeep of security controls across cloud and on premise environments.
- Contributing to incident response activities by gathering information, escalating issues and following established procedures.
- Working with IT, engineering and the SOC to ensure detections, logging and response processes operate effectively.
- Supporting continuous improvement through alert tuning, use case validation and the development of operational security metrics.
- Up to three years experience in security, IT, SOC or technical operations who is eager to learn and develop.
- Ideally a degree in Computer Science or a related degree.
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Defender and an interest in incident response best practice.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non technical teams.
- An organised and proactive individual who is comfortable working in a high trust and regulated environment.
