Job Title: Deputy Support Manager
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Contract: Full Time
Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: £30,856.62 per annum
Annual Leave entitlement: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays
Additional Information: Must hold a full UK drivers licence and have access to your own vehicle to travel between support addresses

Overview

At The Camden Society, we believe people with a learning disability should be leaders in society. We are looking for a Deputy Support Manager to assist the Support Manager in leading teams, to deliver person‑centered support that meets regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor teams, coach support staff and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure practice leadership is developed, recognised and reflected in all we do.
  • Support individuals to design their support plans, assist with rota management, help maintain records, address concerns, conduct audits, and deputise for the Support Manager when needed.
  • Act as a role model of best practice and empower individuals, promote inclusion, rights & independence, whilst adhering to policies and acting as an ambassador for the company.

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above (England) or SCQF 7 or above (Scotland).
  • Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Leadership or coaching experience (desirable).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision‑making skills.
  • Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software).
  • Flexible working hours, willingness to travel locally and work across multiple locations.
