We're looking for Learning & Skills Coaches to support adults with learning disabilities to develop work readiness skills, gain qualifications, and progress into meaningful opportunities. Unity Works is a specialist charity dedicated to supporting people with a learning disability and autism to gain skills, achieve qualifications and secure jobs, so they can reach their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Coach and mentor trainees to build confidence and independence
  • Create and manage Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) with SMART goals
  • Deliver engaging, practical training sessions (online & in-person)
  • Support learners to develop employability and vocational skills
  • Work closely with teams to create real work-based learning opportunities
  • Track progress, conduct reviews and prepare high-quality reports
  • Help learners progress to qualifications, employment or further training
  • Adapt sessions to suit a range of learning needs and abilities
  • Promote a person-centred and inclusive approach
Experience & Skills
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities or vulnerable adults
  • Experience delivering 1:1 support and group sessions
  • Understanding of person-centred learning and SMART goal setting
  • Strong communication, organisation and IT skills
  • Ability to engage, motivate and build rapport with diverse learners
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • Experience in supported employment or employability programmes
Qualifications
  • Level 3 AET/PTTLS (teaching qualification)
  • Level 3 TAQA (assessing qualification)
