The Cambridge Royal Albert Homes are a charity that has provided housing for older persons of modest means since 1859. We need additional Trustees to join our Board, especially with accounting or finance skills. Our Board provides strategic direction, sets overall policy, ensures effective and efficient administration, and is working to make our accommodation and facilities more appropriate to the 21st Century while preserving our lovely Victorian buildings.
We are especially keen to hear from volunteers with accounting or finance skills. You may have retired from a professional career, or you may still be working and your employer provides time off for volunteering.
Responsibilities:- Attend Board and committee meetings, shaping strategy and supporting operations.
- Give between 15 and 20 days input each year to the board.
- Accounting or finance skills and experience.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, think and apply knowledge strategically, and exercise sound, independent judgement.
