Location: Based primarily at our Harston kitchen, with the exciting opportunity to travel to a variety of locations when on event days.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: 5 days over 7 (rotas planned in advance)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Chef to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes in line with company standards, while maintaining consistency, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced catering environment. You will also play a key role in leading and supporting the kitchen team on event days across multiple locations, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present food to set recipes and portion standards.
  • Uphold excellent food safety, hygiene, and allergen control at all times.
  • Work efficiently to meet service deadlines and client expectations.
  • Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, and overall kitchen organisation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Support all chefs with kitchen duties as required.
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team during events, ensuring high standards are maintained.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Chef in catering, events, or a similar role.
  • Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
  • Supervisory experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills in a busy environment.
  • Passionate about hospitality and delivering outstanding dining experiences.
  • Culinary qualifications or certifications (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
