Location: Cambridge
Salary: 38k - £42k + excellent benefits
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Reporting to: Head of HR & Organisational Development
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to provide professional HR support across the organisation. This is a varied generalist role, supporting managers and employees on employee relations, recruitment, learning and development and policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advice and guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and performance management.
Support recruitment, onboarding and induction activities.
Coordinate payroll and pension administration, working with Finance and external providers.
Maintain HR systems, records and workforce data.
Develop and update HR policies and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
Lead and support learning and development initiatives.
Advise on right to work, immigration and sponsorship requirements.
Support HR projects, employee engagement initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
About You
CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in a generalist HR role.
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Experience managing employee relations cases.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
