Extraordinary Days Every Day

At Cambian, you’re not just working – you’re shaping futures. As a Residential Team Leader based in Warrington, every moment spent with our young people (ages 8–18) helps them feel safe, valued, and supported.

Small interactions like asking, \’How was your day?\’, sharing a laugh over a board game, or offering encouragement during tough moments build trust and positively impact lives. While some days may be challenging, every breakthrough, smile, and step forward reminds us why this work truly matters.

What You’ll Do

  • Support young people with their daily routines, such as preparing for school, meal times, and planning activities.
  • Create a warm, homely environment by assisting with light housekeeping.
  • Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
  • Plan and participate in fun activities like trips to the park, movie nights, or creative projects.
  • Maintain essential records to ensure the best possible care.

Where You’ll Do It

Our home is a two-bed children’s home for those with LD and EBD needs. Staff are therapeutically trained to deliver a service tailored to children who may have experienced abuse, neglect, or lack of parental guidance. The home is located on a quiet suburban street, offering a family-like atmosphere with neutral décor and modern furnishings.

Currently, we have one young person in the home who is working towards semi-independence with staff support. They have access to a mentor visiting Monday to Friday to develop independent life skills and facilitate activities. The young person is seeking part-time employment and education and has access to in-house clinical services, which provide supervision and training to staff to support their needs.

The team holds regular meetings, group supervisions, and individual sessions to ensure ongoing support. Activities outside of education hours are planned to promote independence and life skills, fostering a \’home from home\’ environment.

Who You Are

  • Warm, patient, a great listener, and encouraging – focused on achieving positive outcomes for others.
  • Experience in residential childcare.

Why Join Us?

  • Exclusive discounts at major retailers (ASDA, Tesco, M&S, etc.)
  • Health benefits, including dental and optical cashback after two years
  • 24/7 support via helpline and hardship grants through the CareTech Foundation
  • A welcoming, comfortable, and well-designed workspace
  • Fully funded two-week induction training
  • Opportunities for career growth through fully funded diplomas (Levels 3-5) and promotion pathways
  • A supportive team that cares as much as you do
