The School –

Cambian Potterspury Lodge School is a special school that offers fantastic opportunities for up to 64 children and young people with a primary diagnosed of Autism and who have an EHCP. The school is well very well subscribed with a strong pipeline and our educational offer is valued by local authorities and the parents/carers we serve.

The school is also set in a stunning location near Towcester, Northamptonshire, and the internal environment creates an inspiring place of learning where young people receive the specialist education and multi-disciplinary care they need. Each young person is given an individually tailored and holistic programme of support, preparing them well for adulthood. At Potterspury Lodge School you will also find a highly motivated and committed staff team delivering rich and innovative experiences.

Job Purpose:

To work as part of a team to promote a whole school approach to enhancing emotional health and wellbeing so that all children are able to access and benefit from the educational opportunities on offer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Personal Development, behaviour and welfare of all students.

  • Coordinate pastoral and intervention systems, ensuring that appropriate strategies are implemented, monitored and reviewed
  • Support the senior leadership team in the care, support and guidance for all pupils, liaising with parents and all external professionals as appropriate
  • Work with and support staff to ensure that the behaviour policy and trauma-informed practices are consistently adhered to across the school
  • To monitor behaviour data and respond to the changing need of the students
  • To foster positive relationships between students creating an environment which does not tolerate bullying and discrimination
  • Ensuring that the school systems for rewards and sanctions are effective
