Grateley House School is a residential school for young people aged 11‑19 with Asperger’s Syndrome and other associated difficulties. The Cambian Group, the UK’s largest provider of specialist education and mental health services, seeks a dedicated, caring individual to support the emotional wellbeing, mental health and placement stability of looked‑after young people who have experienced significant adverse childhood experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide combined clinical consultative and direct therapeutic services to looked‑after young people placed in school.
  • Work as part of an integrated residential Children’s Service and multidisciplinary team (including OTs, SaLTs).
  • Assess, intervene and manage a range of mental health needs, including trauma, using evidence‑based therapeutic approaches.
  • Support partnership working for placement objectives, care planning and progression, including regular clinical reporting and routine outcome measures.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision, peer support and team meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant professional registration (e.g., HCPC) and mental health or CAMHS experience.
  • Evidence of training in therapeutic interventions for children and young people.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Experience working with trauma‑informed approaches is desirable.

  • Ability to deliver high‑quality therapeutic services within a multidisciplinary setting.
