We now have an exciting opportunity for a Class Instructor to join us at Oakwood School. We offer a broad and enriching curriculum to our students and currently require an enthusiastic and committed instructor. You will have a flexible, creative and practical approach to learning and be responsible for developing individualised programmes.

Oakwood School is an independent specialist provision which provides high quality, personalised education for young people aged 5 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties and who are at significant risk. Our approach to education at Oakwood School is to inspire and engage our learners through a range of positive learning experiences. We strongly believe that all learners can achieve their personal best with the right guidance, encouragement and support.

Overall responsibility:

  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as an Instructor.
  • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
  • To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
