We are recruiting for Residential Care Workers at our home in Essex. You will work on a rota basis, establishing positive, warm, and rewarding relationships with young people. Your role will involve providing advice, assistance, and support to help young people overcome past and present difficulties. The working day can be unpredictable; you might spend the morning organizing activities and the afternoon providing 1:1 support. No two days are the same. We need someone who is flexible, adaptable, and able to read situations to help our young people make positive choices.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Providing emotional support during times of difficulty or stress
  • Helping young people achieve their goals and reach their potential
  • Supporting young people in their education
  • Keeping accurate records and providing reports for planning meetings and reviews
  • Empowering young people and involving them in decisions about their lives and future
  • Acting as an advocate during meetings involving the young person
  • Encouraging community links, participation in off-site activities, and expanding social networks
  • Meeting the needs of children and young people, organizing social activities, and maintaining the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc.)

Qualifications, Experience, and Requirements:

  • You must be over 21 years old
  • A full UK driving license is preferable
  • No experience necessary, just a commitment and passion for working with young people

Sleep-ins incur an uplift of £30 per shift on your salary.
