About the Role:
As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and young people with complex needs. You will lead and motivate a team of support workers, ensuring high-quality care and support that promotes positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and supporting a team of residential support workers
- Ensuring the highest standard of care for children and young people
- Promoting independence, emotional well-being, and social development
- Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, and daily records
- Managing safeguarding concerns and responding appropriately
- Supporting staff development through training, guidance, and supervision
- Working closely with external professionals and families
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in residential childcare or a similar setting
- Leadership or supervisory experience within a care environment
- A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for making a positive impact in young people’s lives
