Speech and Language Therapy Assistant – Grateley House School, Pond Lane, Grateley, Hampshire, SP11 8TA. TERM TIME ONLY. Salary up to £26,436.80, dependant on experience; pro rata salary for 39 weeks is £22,230.

About the Role

The Cambian Group's Grateley House School is a residential school for young people aged 11‐19 with Asperger's Syndrome and other associated difficulties. This role provides clinical and administrative support within the Speech and Language Therapy team, working under a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to deliver therapy programmes, support assessment, report progress, and contribute to developing an Inclusive Communication Environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver therapy programmes to individual students or groups under the direction of an SLT.
  • Support SLTs in the assessment of residents' communication skills.
  • Report on student progress and provide support with resources.
  • Contribute to the development of an Inclusive Communication Environment.
  • Receive regular supervision and participate in training as part of the Cambian SLT service.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must have an interest in communication and experience working with young people with autism, severe learning disabilities, and challenging behaviour; experience of complex needs is an advantage. Basic IT skills and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team are essential. Visa eligibility must meet UK immigration requirements.
