Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee and manage intake and case processing for assigned Title IX and DHR matters.
  • Review reports and complaints to assess jurisdiction, policy applicability, and appropriate response.
  • Conduct intake interviews to clarify and document allegations involving discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, and retaliation.
  • Screen reports for immediate safety concerns and coordinate appropriate supportive or interim measures.
  • Coordinate implementation of supportive and interim measures with appropriate campus offices.
  • Oversee and process pregnancy adjustments and modifications for students, track forms, and provide accommodation emails as needed.
  • Prepare notices and related case documentation.
  • Ensure timely communication with involved parties regarding procedural steps, rights, and case updates.

Compliance & Policy Implementation

  • Carry out assigned responsibilities in support of the Executive Director of Title IX & Inclusion/Title IX Coordinator to ensure continuity of Equity Programs and Compliance operations.
  • Responsible for supporting the administration of the University’s Title IX and DHR programs; managing reports and complaints involving discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, and retaliation.
  • Ensure prompt, equitable, and trauma-informed response processes; maintain accurate documentation and required reporting; coordinate training and outreach initiatives.
  • Interpret and apply CSU Executive Orders and applicable federal and state civil rights laws related to Title IX and Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation (DHR).
  • Implement established policies and procedures to ensure consistent and compliant case processing.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating internal procedures to support operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
  • Remain current on evolving legal and regulatory requirements and apply updates to assigned work.

Case Coordination & Operational Support

  • Lead multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, including presenting case updates, identifying compliance considerations, and coordinating cross-functional responses.
  • Serve as the Hearing Coordinator/Tech Coordinator for Track 1 & 2 Hearings (State/Federal Hearings).
  • Prepare invoices, set up purchase orders and other financial documents.
  • Monitor case progress to ensure compliance with procedural requirements and established timelines.
  • Administer or support mandated Title IX training assignments and related tracking functions.
  • Provide backup support for related compliance functions, including Clery-related coordination or other regulatory requirements, as assigned.

Campus Training, Prevention & Education

  • Lead and coordinate prevention and intervention education efforts related to Title IX and DHR.
  • Determine the method, assignment, and tracking of annual training requirements.
  • Initiate and implement education and prevention programs and events for students.
  • Serve as a resource to campus stakeholders regarding Title IX and DHR reporting processes and procedural requirements.
  • Coordinate campus-wide communications related to compliance initiatives, prevention efforts, and mandated training requirements.
  • Support development and delivery of training and educational programming related to Title IX and DHR.

Other Duties as Assigned

  • May be required to obtain additional training and/or certification as part of professional development.
  • Case coordination utilizing Maxient database.
  • Conduct outreach in response to reports, arrange and schedule meetings.
  • Update and maintain current information and content on the Title IX & Inclusion website.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of progressively related professional experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of direct experience in Title IX, civil rights compliance, or discrimination and harassment response.
  • Experience utilizing a case management database system (e.g., Maxient or similar platform).
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of Title IX regulations and related federal and state civil rights laws.
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases.
  • Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Position may be required to travel.
