At The Caledonian Edinburgh, the guest journey begins long before arrival. We are seeking a Casual Reservations Agent to create exceptional first impressions, offering personalised guidance and luxury-standard service that reflects the heritage and elegance of the “Caley.”
The Person
- Warm, engaging and passionate about delivering exceptional guest service
- A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
- Positive, friendly and caring, with a natural desire to make guests smile
- Ambitious, hardworking and confident working as part of a supportive team
- Eager to learn - previous OnQ PM experience is advantageous but not essential
The Role
- Serve as the first point of contact for many of our guests, offering expert and personalised reservation support
- Provide accurate information, capture guest details and ensure all bookings reflect guest needs
- Maximise revenue through upselling and department incentives
- Handle guest feedback with professionalism and true luxury service
- Work 5 days per week, including a rotation of weekends and bank holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest service through confident communication and tailored support
- Maintain accurate reservation data and up-to-date guest information
- Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries, requests and feedback
- Demonstrate excellent product knowledge and an understanding of hotel offerings
- Contribute to a seamless guest journey from enquiry to arrival
