The Linen Porter is responsible for ensuring that the housekeeping and food & beverage departments are consistently supplied with high-quality linen and terry products. This role plays a vital part in maintaining smooth hotel operations by managing linen distribution, stock control, and maintaining cleanliness and order within the linen room.
- Ensure that clean linen, towels, and other required materials are readily available for housekeeping and F&B departments.
- Assist in receiving, counting, and checking linen deliveries to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Handle used linen and ensure it is correctly sorted and prepared for laundry collection.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards always.
- Work collaboratively with housekeeping, laundry, and F&B teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate any shortages, damages, or issues to the Linen Supervisor or Housekeeping Manager.
- Support colleagues by assisting with other housekeeping duties as required.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the correct handling, storage, and distribution of linen.
- Comfortable with manual handling, including lifting, carrying, and moving linen.
